Ember

On May 22, 2026, a blazing hot orange rubber duck named Ember boarded the Norwegian Joy in Seattle for a fiery voyage toward the cool waters of Alaska. With his glowing sunset-orange color, Ember looked like a tiny ember of sunshine floating across the ocean. He spent his days warming up chilly passengers’ spirits, “charging” under the sun on the deck, and proudly declaring every meal at the buffet “perfectly toasted.” During a misty glacier viewing, his bright color stood out against the icy blue walls, making him look like a little spark of summer lost in winter. Passengers began joking that wherever Ember floated, the temperature of the fun went up a few degrees. By the end of the cruise, he was known as the warmest little traveler ever to sail through Alaska’s frozen seas.
